SENADHIPAN EDUCATION FOUNDATION is an educational initiative by Dr. Baiju Senadhipan, which was established in 2012 with the objective to impart knowledge and skills in laparoscopic surgery, to aspiring surgeons across the world. The foundation was inaugurated by Prof.Seon Han Kim from Korea, on the 30th of Jan 2012 at Taj Vivanta, Trivanrdum, India, by releasing a set of educational DVDs on advanced laparoscopic surgery. Thereafter skill transfer courses, hands on fellowship courses on laparoscopic training, live streaming of laparoscopic surgery are being organized under the aegis of the foundation on a regular basis. With the advent of covid-19 pandemic, by the end of June 2020, the foundation started organizing international webinars on a weekly basis, with contribution from world renowned experts as faculty and participants.July 2020 saw the release of the logo of SENADHIPAN EDUCATION FOUNDATION by Prof.C.Palanivelu. From June 2020 to till date ,100 such webinars were organized by the foundation with global participation from more than 75 countries.
SENADHIPAN EDUCATION FOUNDATION has started free International Fellowship programme in Minimally Invasive Hepato Pancreatico Biliary surgery at Tokyo Medical University , Japan to help the aspiring surgeons across the globe. The applications are invited worldwide and the deserving candidates are selected, after scrutiny of their application, to be send to Tokyo Medical University every month. They are given free accommodation and training in collaboration with Tokyo Medical University.
SENADHIPAN EDUCATION FOUNDATION has announced SEF EKALVYA AWARD for the best video presentation in Laparoscopy. The abstracts are invited from Indian nationals under the age of 50 yrs with qualifications in Gen Surgery and the videos will be scrutinised by a scientific committee comprising of eminent national figures in the respective fields ( Dr Adarsh Chowdhary, Director HPB,Minimal Access and GI surgery, Medanta Hospital, Delhi, Dr Abhay Dalvi, Past President Association of Surgeons of India, Dr Pawanendralal, Ex Director, National Board of Examinations., India, Dr Kalayrasan R, Prof of GI Surgery, JIPMER, Pondicherry, Dr Parthasarathy, GEM Hospital, Coimbatore).The top 5 video abstracts will be invited for a verbal presentation and the best video will be awarded with a gold medal and free international fellowship for 2 months in Minimally invasive pancreatic surgery at Tokyo Medical University, Japan.
